State Grid receives Russian power
July 10th, 2012 | Global TimesState Grid Corporation of China, the country’s government-owned power grid operator, stated Tuesday that China had purchased 926 million kilowatt hours (KWh) of electricity from Russia in the first half of this year.
Since 2009, China has been working to import secondary clean energy from Russia in order to enlarge energy cooperation transactions between the two countries.
On February 25, State Grid and the Russian Oriental Energy Company signed the electricity purchasing agreement for 2012. In the first half, State Grid Heilongjiang received 650 million KWh of electricity from Russia.
