On the afternoon of June 27 , Fan Jixiang , General Manager of Sinohydro met ,in the Sinohydro headquarter ,visiting delegation led by Assistant Minister of Angolan Prime Minister , Mr Aginaldo Yayimi , and Leaders from Development Bank of China .

Fan Jixiang expressed his warm welcome to Angolan delegation , firstly, he introduced to guests the general situation of Sinohydro and its international business operation situation , he elaborated the projects contracted by Sinohydro in Angola and their developments .

Fan Jixiang pointed out that , as of April 2008 , Sinohydro had signed project contracts worth up to 1.2 billion US Dollars in Angolan market , all the project under construction are going well . Sinohydro’s business in Angolan covering projects in education ,sanitation , hydropower , road , airport , sports stadium and so on ,which are scattered in 17 of Angola’s 18 provinces , 9  Angolan Ministries , including ministries of Health , Education , Agriculture , Public Facilities , hydroenergy , Planning , Transportation , Commerce and Finance are involved in the above projects as proprietors .

Fan Jixiang noted that Sinohydro attached great importance to its projects in Angola and supported them with no efforts spared . During the implementation of these projects , working teams from Sinohydro abide by the local laws and respect the local cultural customs , and play an active role in the reconstruction of Angola after the war ended , Sinohydro also provided many job opportunities for local people and made contributions to the prosperity of local economy .

Assistant Minister of Angolan Prime Minister , Mr Aginaldo Yayimi ,expressed his thanks to the invitation by Sinohydro and listened  carefully the introduction given by Fan Jixiang , Yayimi gave his admiration to the positive role played by the partnership between  Sinohydro and its Angolan part , he was delighted  for the involvement of influent construction enterprise like Sinohydro ,in the reconstruction of Angola after the war .

Yayimi hoped that,with the beginning of the reconstruction work in Angola , the government of Angola would like to see  a diversified  cooperation with China ,especially the new model of cooperation between Development Bank and major enterprises from China , through this model to have further cooperation in the wide construction area and serve the local society in Angola .

Mr Liu Hao , Vice Director of Finance Bureau of Development Bank of China , said that Development Bank of China and Sinohydro’s cooperation is supplement and complement in nature , as one of the biggest policy-oriented bank of China , Development Bank of China will choose most powerful and professional enterprise to cooperation , Sinohydro is their good choice .

Angolan ambassador in China , Mr Nuo Manual Belnado, China’s former ambassador in Angola , Mr Jiang Yuande , and Vice General Manager of Sinohydro , Mr Huang Baodong also  attended the meeting which ends in a friendly and cordially atmosphere .
